Peking Union Medical College, located in Dongcheng District, Beijing, is the highest medical research institution and medical education institution in China. It is under the supervision of the health administrative department of the State Council and operates under a unified management system with the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The school is listed as a national "Double First Class" construction university, selected for the Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program, and a member of the Medical "Double First Class" Construction Alliance.

Peking Union Medical College was founded in 1917, formerly known as the Private Peking Union Medical College in Chinese. It is the earliest medical school in China to offer an eight year medical education and nursing undergraduate education. Its predecessor was the Union Medical College, jointly founded by the American and British Christian Churches in 1906. In January 1951, the school was taken over by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health of the Central People's Government, and renamed as the Chinese Union Medical College. After inheritance and development, the school has been renamed as China Medical University, Capital Medical University of China, and Peking Union Medical College. He was first awarded a master's degree in 1982 and a doctoral degree in 1985. In 2006, it was named Peking Union Medical College. In 2022, selected as a "Double First Class" construction university.
